SAAC Announces Student Athletes of the Month

The Student Athlete Advisory Committee has selected freshmen Greg Cooke and Kristen Forbes as the Student Athletes of the Month for the month of April.

At the SCAC Championships, Cook won triple jump with a jump of 44 feet, 9 ½ inches, placed second in the javelin with a throw of 176 feet, placed 3rd in the 400m with a time of 51.2 seconds, and ran on the 4x100m relay team that finished in 6th place. He finished with the 3rd highest individual point total at the championships, in leading the Lynx to a 4th place finish.

Forbes is a member of the Lynx 4x100m relay team that won the SCAC Championship and is currently ranked 13th nationally. She also won SCAC Championships in the 400m with a time of 56.67 (8th in the nation), the 100m with a time of 12:43, and the 200m with a time of 25.62 (16th in nation). She finished with the 2nd highest individual point total at the championships, in leading the Lynx to a 2nd place finish.
