Men's soccer goalkeeper Alex Margolin named SCAC Player of the Week, d3kicks.com National Team of the Week

	Rhodes sophomore goalkeeper Alex Margolin (Austin, TX) has been named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Tuesday, September 5 through Sunday, September 10. He was also named to the d3kicks.com National Team of the Week. Margolin had his best stretch of games this past weekend for Rhodes, who went 0-0-2 in two matches in Missouri.
Against 18th-ranked Washington (Mo.) University, Margolin was the backbone to an impressive defensive effort, saving 16 shots - several of which were from point-blank range - in Friday's 0-0 double-overtime tie. The sophomore goalkeeper allowed no goals despite his team being out-shot 27-3. Margolin led another defensive effort on Sunday against Webster ( Mo.) University, making five saves through 88 minutes before the game was halted at 0-0 due to severe weather.
