Men's Soccer loses to Centre 1-0

The Rhodes men's soccer team took on Centre College today at Rhodes College. The Lynx put up a good challenge and were able to hold Centre to only 13 shots. But the Lynx continued their offensive struggles, only managing five shots, only two of which were on goal. Sophomore midfielder Patrick Deveau (Atlanta, GA) managed the Lynx' only scoring opportunity from a penalty kick.

However, Deveau was unable to convert the opportunity and Lynx ended the game shutout for the third straight game and sixth time this season. Centre score in the 71st minute on a free kick just outside the box as defender David Horne headed home the free kick. Goalkeeper Alex Margolin went the distance in goal and made five saves. The Lynx continue SCAC on Sunday as they take on DePauw University at 12:00 noon as part of Parents Weekend.
