Austin College downs Lynx, 2-1

	Austin College's Aaron Pierce scored in the sixth minute and forward Stephen Carpenter scored an insurance goal in the 67th minute to defeat Rhodes 2-0 on Sunday at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. The Lynx, controlling much of the possession the first half, outshot the Kangaroos 4-1 in the first half. Their most dangerous chance came late in the first half as freshman midfielder Allen Orgeron (New Orleans, LA) headed in a cross sent in by senior midfielder Brad Crawford (Roswell, GA) but goalkeeper Guy Muller was able to get a hand on it and tip it wide of the goal.
With the Lynx down 1-0, they were continually getting in behind the 'Roos defense when a long ball was sent in over the top as forward Stephen Carpenter ran onto it and put it in to give Austin a 2-0 win. Goalkeeper Alex Margolin went the distance in goal and had three saves in the game.
The Lynx are back in action this coming weekend as they take on Millsaps College at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 28. Saturday will be Senior Day as we recognize our two seniors, Brad Crawford and Alex Ramirez, at halftime.
