Men's Soccer drops a pair in Memphis Cup
03/24/07---The Rhodes men's soccer team lost two games this weekend in the annual Memphis Cup. Rhodes first played the University of Memphis and played extremely well, despite losing 2-1. Freshman forward Logan Eberly scored the only goal for the Lynx. Then Rhodes took on Lambuth University Saturday afternoon and lost 4-1. Freshman midfielder Allen Orgeron scored the only goal in the loss. more...

Men's Soccer beats Sewanee, 2-1
11/03/06---
The Rhodes men's soccer team completed a sweep of Sewanee soccer by defeating the Tigers 2-1. After falling behind in the 20th minute the Lynx pulled level on a Zack Berry goal just 4 mintues later. Logan Eberly extended his scoring streak to 3 games scoring the game winner with a beautiful shot into the upper right corner of the Tiger's net just before halftime. Soccer game times versus Sewanee moved forward one hour on Friday, Nov. 3

Due to limited daylight Rhodes and Sewanee have agreed to move this Friday's games at Sewanee up by 1 hour to assure that both the women's and men's games can be completed before dark. Rhodes' women will face Sewanee at 12:00 noon and the men's game will follow at 2:00pm.
 
Eberly notches second hat trick, defeat Rust 4-0
10/29/06---The Rhodes men's soccer won their second game in a row on Sunday as they defeated Rust College 4-0. Eberly, fresh off his first career hat trick, didn't waste any time notching his second one as he scored three goals to lead the Lynx. Freshman Jeff Ricker also added his first career goal to cap off the scoring. The Lynx are on the road for the last SCAC conference games of the season as they take on University of the South-Sewanee on Friday then Oglethorpe University on Sunday. more...
 
Men's Soccer defeats Millsaps in overtime, 3-2
10/28/06---The Rhodes men's soccer won in overtime today as they defeated SCAC rival Millsaps College 3-2. Logan Eberly went for the hat trick, netting all three goals. 10/22/06---The Rhodes men's soccer team lost to Austin College (TX) on Sunday afternoon 2-1 at Rhodes College. The men had several quality chances, but were unable to connect. The Lynx' record now stands at 3-9-3, 1-4-1 in SCAC conference action. Hall of Fame soccer coach Sepp Huber visits Rhodes

Hall of Fame coach Sepp Huber, who started Rhodes first men’s soccer team in 1975, was joined by former players David Dietrich, David Bartholomew, Rick Samuels, Tripp Dargie and current Rhodes coach Andy Marcinko for a visit to the Lynx soccer facility. A new scoreboard was installed at the soccer field in honor of Sepp Huber by virtue of gifts made in his name to the Rhodes soccer programs. more...
 
Men's Soccer defeats Hendrix College, 2-1
10/20/06---The Rhodes men's soccer team defeated Hendrix College in SCAC action Friday afternoon 2-1. Logan Eberly netted the first goal of the game, his team leading fourth of the year, in the second minute. Hendrix came back to tie it 1-1 but Allen Orgeron netted the game winner late in the second half. The men are back in action on Sunday as they take on Austin College (TX) at 12:00 noon. more...

10/16/06---The Rhodes men's soccer team lost a 3-0 decision to Colorado College, in Colorado Springs, Co on Monday afternoon. The match was tied at halftime, but the Tigers scored early in the second half and never looked back. 09/22/06---Rhodes faced its first SCAC competition in Trinity University tonight at San Antonio. The Lynx dropped a 6-0 decision to the Tigers, who outshot the Lynx 32-7. 09/17/06---Rhodes played Div II Delta State University on Sunday, losing by a score of 2-1. DSU scored first, but then sophomore forward Jay Carpenter netted his first goal of the season, ending a shutout streak for Rhodes of more than 400 minutes.
