Men's Cross Country Finishes 21st at Nationals 11/18/06---The Men's Cross Country team finished 21st out of 32 teams at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday. The Lynx, who entered the meet as the 32nd seed, placed 3 runners in the top 100 and defeated several highly ranked teams on their way to their 21st place finish. Men's Cross Country Departs for NCAA Championships 11/16/06---The Rhodes men's cross country team departs today for the NCAA Division III Championship in West Chester, Ohio. The berth marks the culmination of a successful season and the first appearance in the national meet for the men's team.
Mahoney named Regional Athlete of the Year 11/15/06---Alex Mahoney has been selected as the NCAA Division III Regional Athlete of the Year for the 2006 collegiate cross country season. Mahoney won the South/Southeast Region individual race, helping Rhodes finish second in the team standings and qualify for the Division III national championship meet. Mahoney, a junior from Winnetka, IL, won the race by 26 seconds in a time of 25:41 (5 miles). Wilmington College (OH) will host the national championships meet this Saturday.
