Young Alumni

Your Rhodes network numbers 12,500 and growing.

As a young alumnus or alumna, you’re automatically a part of the Young Alumni program, expanding your Rhodes connections to all 50 states and many parts of the world. You’re eligible for special events and benefits until your 10th reunion year.

Young Alumni benefits include:

  • Membership in Lasting Lynx, our online alumni community, so you can keep in touch with your classmates and access the Rhodes network in other cities
  • A permanent email address that won’t change when you move or switch jobs
  • Access to CareerLynx, our online job service 
  • Rhodes Magazine (three issues a year)
  • Regular electronic newsletter
  • Assistance with career issues through the Career Services office, including:
    • Access to the Career Library with resources for writing resumes, interviewing and developing career strategies
    • Individual counseling appointments to discuss career plans, graduate school and other related topics
    • Attendance at workshops and seminars (most programs are open to alumni) including Graduate School Expo (September) and Career Fair Expo (February)
    • Participation in the on-campus interview program (current students have priority)
    • Maintenance of a credentials file (includes resume, recommendation letters and student teaching records, if applicable)
  • Discounted membership rates for the Bryan Campus Life Center for three years following graduation
  • Use of the Paul Barret Library
  • Discounts and specials at the Rhodes Bookstore
  • Membership in annual giving societies at leadership giving levels for half the regular membership rate:
