A great way to gain an overall view of the College, or to learn more about a special interest activity, is to attend one of our campus programs.  You may register for any of the programs listed below by clicking on the appropriate header.

College Discovery
Friday, June 13, 2008 (8:00 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.)
For Rising High School Juniors and Seniors
Discovery Program (pdf)

Students and parents will attend workshop sessions with Rhodes faculty, staff and current students to learn more about the college application process and Rhodes College.  Sessions will cover connecting with colleges, a parent′s role, college essays, financing your education.  Two large sessions will also cover the college selection process and an overview of academics and activities at Rhodes College.  Optional campus tours are available along with the opportunity to experience dining options around Memphis.

Mock Trial Open House
Monday, September 29, 2008 (3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.)
For High School Seniors interested in Mock Trial, debate, forensics, or pre-law

Students will attend a practice trial session, meet faculty, have dinner with current students, take a campus tour, learn about admissions, fellowships and financial aid options.  Parents are invited to attend the campus tour and group information session.

Open House I
Monday, October 13, 2008 (8:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.)
For High School Seniors and Juniors

Students will attend a class.  Parents and students may attend a campus tour, talk with current students and faculty members and learn more about Rhodes College's academic programs, student organizations, admissions and financial aid.

Math, Sciences and Pre-Engineering Open House
Friday, November 21, 2008 (12:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
For High School Seniors

Students and parents will talk with departmental faculty and student majors, have lunch, a campus tour, an admissions and financial aid information session and a professor panel.  There will also be an evening cookout with professors and current students where prospective students and parents can get their questions answered about on-campus, off-campus, and post-graduate opportunities in the fields of math, science and engineering.

Service Learning Program
Friday, November 14, 2008 (12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.)
For High School Seniors

Students will attend a class.  Students and parents will learn about our service initiatives and community partnerships, participate in a service project, and hear from students who make service part of their daily lives at Rhodes, and learn about the Bonner Scholarships and Community Service Work Study Program (that can give you the opportunity to fund your education while doing service).  Students and parents will also have a campus tour, and meet with faculty and staff members.

Open House II
Saturday, November 15, 2008 (12:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.)
For High School Seniors and Juniors

Campus tours will be offered at 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Parents and students may talk with current students and faculty members and learn more about Rhodes College's academic programs, student organizations, admissions and financial aid.

Fine Arts Fellowship Weekend
Friday & Saturday, January 23 & 24, 2009
For High School Seniors

Students who are interested in the fine arts may come to campus on Friday, January 23, 2009 for a chance to visit a class in the fine arts, meet professors and students and learn more about the arts at Rhodes.  Auditions for Fine Arts Fellowships in performance will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2009 for music and theater.  Students interest in Fine Arts Fellowships in Art should submit slides by January 15, 2009.  Students who wish to be considedered for the CODA Fine Arts Fellowships that emphasize leadership development, research and service in the arts should submit a CODA application by January 15, 2009.

Saturday, April 18, 2009 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
For Admitted Students
Program from 2008 (pdf)

Students and parents will attend panels with faculty, staff and current students to learn more about the Rhodes experience.  Panels will touch on academic life, student activities, internships, study abroad, athletics and the city of Memphis.  The program includes campus tours, a bbq lunch and opportunities to speak with financial aid.  Specifically for students weighing their college options, Preview provides an in-depth look at the Rhodes student experience.
