Open Rhodes is a two-day summer program where you’ll:
- Work with a faculty advisor to develop your fall academic course schedule requests
- Learn about life at Rhodes by meeting students, faculty and staff
- Stay on campus for one night
Who Should Attend?
All students enrolling at Rhodes for the first time in fall 2010 (Class of 2014 and transfer students) should attend. Parents are welcome but not required. Some student sessions will be open to parents, and each two-day program will include a parent/family program track.
How Do I Sign Up?
Online registration will began in March. In order to register, click the Orientation Registration link in the box in the upper right hand corner of this page. Date assignments will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s important to register as soon as possible.
An email confirmation will be sent to each student′s Rhodes College email address with assigned registration date. The registration deadline is Friday, May 28th.
How Much Does It Cost?
$110—which includes all meals, materials, and student housing. The program fee will be included on your fall tuition bill. There will not be a separate billing for this program.
A limited amount of financial aid is available to cover the program fee for those students who wish to attend Orientation but may otherwise be unable.
What Do I Need to Do to Prepare for Orientation?
Read the Open Rhodes Resource Book and Open Rhodes Curriculum Guide. Think about questions you want to ask during the program. Be sure to bring (or know) your email address, password and PIN. Your PIN is NOT the password you use to check email, your PIN was included in your acceptance letter from Admissions.
