New Students
As the Director of New Student Programs, it is my pleasure to share more about the Rhodes College orientation experience with you. In my role, I am responsible for working with and supporting new students as they transition to the Rhodes family and community.
At Rhodes, we take your transition seriously. As such, there are a number of programs that are designed to support you and provide you with information both before you get here and once you arrive on campus. The purpose of this website is to provide prospective students and their parents/family members with a way to learn about the programs that are available to you.
In order to stay up to date and informed, be sure to regularly check the website for updates. While the dates are correct, please know that some of the event detail will change. This is necessary as we are constantly working to create a meaningful orientation experience for you.
Members of the Class of 2014
As a new Rhodes student, participation in Open Rhodes and Welcome Week are required. Open Rhodes is the two day summer orientation and advising program. A total of four two-day sessions are offered during the summer; two in June and two in July. Welcome Week consists of a series of academic and social programs and activities held a week prior to the start of class in August. For more information and details on both, please click the links on the left side of this page.
Starting in March, Open Rhodes packets will be mailed to you once you submit your enrollment deposit. This packet will contain information that will assit in your transition to Rhodes. Until then, please explore the website to learn more about the transition programs that we have developed for you.
Also, be sure to joing the Facebook group for the Rhodes College Class of 2014. This is a great way to meet other students in the Class of 2014 as well as current students.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Be well,
