Timothy Gibson

Timothy Gibson travels not only around the country for Rhodes but around the world. As the counselor responsible for multicultural recruiting, Timothy works specifically with Central and South America. Stateside, he is responsible for California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Memphis City Schools. A sociology major from Eastern New Mexico University, Gibson has been an admissions counselor at Rhodes since July 2001.

Personally, Gibson has traveled to Europe, Asia, Australia, Latin America and South America. When in Memphis, Gibson enjoys Midtown, playing with his yellow lab, and listening to “all kinds of music” at concerts. But he especially loves traveling, with Australia as his favorite destination thus far. “It’s the most beautiful place I have ever seen,” he says, although the Rhodes campus is a “pretty close second.”
