New Student Programs Staff

Marcus Langford, Director of New Student Programs
Marcus is a resource for first-year students as they transition to the Rhodes community. He is responsible for the management and coordination of Open Rhodes, Welcome Week and the first-year mentoring program. He also co-coordinates the Jumpstart program with the Assistant Director of Career Services. Additionally, Marcus works with first-year students who may be in need of support due to an academic or personal situation.  

Melody Lopez ′12, Orientation Intern
Melody assists with the development, preparation and execution of all Orientation activities for the incoming first-year class. Melody is an English Creative Writing major from Millington, Tennessee, who plans on pursuing a career in screenwriting and film production. Off-campus, Melody is a Student Ministries Leader at Lighthouse Fellowship Church in Millington. On-campus, Melody is a Film Studies minor and a staff member on both The Southwestern Review and the Sou’wester Newspaper.
