Dr. Caudill joins the faculty after retiring as Regions Bank Professor in the College of Business at Auburn University where he worked from 1982 until 2009. While at Auburn, Dr. Caudill co-authored papers with faculty and graduate students in the Departments of Accounting, Agricultural Economics, Economics, Finance, Forestry, and Management. In the spring of 2008 Dr. Caudill was visiting scholar at the University of Sassari, the oldest university on the island of Sardinia.
Dr. Caudill′s recent research has focused on applications of mixture models in empirical economic research. His recent efforts in this area involve using a mixture of two normal distributions to develop partially adaptive estimators for several commonly-used limited-dependent variable models.
