Professor James Espinosa′s 2004 microgravity project is featured in an online Scientific American article for January 24.Phyiscs majors Jennifer Thompson ′08 and Jenna Smith ′09 presented their research at the January meeting of the American Association of Physics Teachers in Baltimore.
Fall 2007
Professor Meyer presented an invited paper at the APS meeting of the Division of Nuclear Physics on October 11 in Newport News, Virginia.
Professor Viano attended the Society of Physics Students / Sigma Pi Sigma national council meeting at the American Center for Physics in College Park, MD, September 27-29. She is a member of the council and its executive committee, and the president of Sigma Pi Sigma, the national physics honor society.
An article co-authored by Professor Viano, Professor Redfearn (formerly of the chemistry department), three physics majors and two chemistry majors appeared in print in the journal Bio-Medical Materials and Engineering.
