Dr. Voss Roberts received her B.A. from Calvin College and her M.T.S. and Ph.D. from Emory University with academic specialties in medieval Christianity, comparative theology and feminist theology. Her dissertation is entitled, “ ‘May Your Heart Dissolve:’ Duality and Relation in Mechthild of Magdeburg and Lalla of Kashmir.” Before coming to Rhodes, Dr. Voss Roberts taught at Emory University and Candler School of Theology. She has undertaken research and language study in New Delhi and Pune, India.  Professor Voss Roberts is co-chair of the Comparative Theology Group of the American Academy of Religion and past co-chair of the Women and Religion section of the Southeastern Commission for the Study of Religion.
