French Senior Paul Carls has been selected as the ESL Teaching Assistant at the Lycée Victor Duruy in Paris, France for the academic year 2007-2008, as part of the exchange program Rhodes has with Lycée Duruy.

Seven upper-level French students will participate in the Rhodes-in-Paris summer immersion program June 1-30, 2007.  They are Bonnie Ballinger, Caroline Boone, Emily Broocks, Jackie Gay, Kristen Lee, Katie Reggie, and Keara Sherman.

This Spring, four students have been recognized for their excellence in their study of French:

• Best student in first-year of language: Cordarius McLean
• Best student in second-year of language: Elizabeth Brown
• Best upper-level student who is no senior: Laura Rigazzi
• Best upper level senior student: Amy Leggette
• Best Senior paper: Amy Leggette
