Rhodes String Ensemble

Joe Montelione, Director

Rhodes String Ensemble is open to all Rhodes students who play or are learning to play a concert string instrument. The String Ensemble rehearses in conjunction with the Rhodes Orchestra and performs along with the Orchestra at their various concerts throughout the year. An audition with the conductor is required for participation. Participation in the Rhodes String Ensemble assumes participation in the Rhodes Orchestra, and one hour credit is available each semester for participation in Orchestra.

In the 2001-2002 concert season the String Ensemble performed Vivaldi′s "Guitar Concert in D," Unger′s "Ashokan Farewell," J. S. Bach′s "Brandenburg Concerto #4," and Karl Jenkins′ "Palladio."
