Kristin Lynn Cole joined the English department in 2008, where she teaches courses in first-year writing, medieval literature, and the English language.  She received her MA and PhD in English from the University of Texas at Austin, and earned BAs in English and German from Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana.  Her research interests include the history of the English language and the rhythms of English poetry, particularly the meters used by Chaucer and his contemporaries in fourteenth-century England, and the loss of grammatical gender in English.
