The student body of Rhodes College selected Joel Iwaskiewicz ’10 as this year’s Mr. Rhodes. Joel is an English major from Nashua, N.H. He sings with the Tuesday Fellowship worship team and the Woolsocks, Rhodes’ male a cappella group. He currently works as an English Department Writing Fellow. He was previously selected as Omicron Delta Kappa Sophomore Man of the Year. After graduation, he plans to pursue a Ph.D. in English literature. (Publication Date: 10/29/2009)
Diana Comes, '08 English Major, has been named recipient of the National Association of Women Judges′ Justice Sandra Day O′Connor Scholarship. She is currently in her second year at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. She says about her undergraduate experience, “I was encouraged to take advantage of innumerable academic opportunities--for example, my senior honors project with Dr. Leslie Petty and my writing fellowship with Dr. Rebecca Finlayson. Rhodes and the English Department inspire students to think, to learn, and to grow.”
