Update on Schedule Change
Although power has been restored to campus, our phone lines are still down, and we are operating at minimal capacity with a skeletal work force. If you need to contact us, send an email to writinginstitute@rhodes.edu. We will respond as quickly as possible. We appreciate your continued patience as we work together to register our 56 students.
- Registration at Burrow Hall as originally planned will be held 2 – 5 PM on Tuesday, June 16.
- Following registration, students will be able to check into the dormitory and eat dinner at the Refectory.
- Classes will begin on Wednesday, and we will make up lost class sessions on Saturday, June 20.
- The program will end on time at 12 noon on Friday, June 26.
- You will be refunded for room and board for Sunday and Monday. A check will be sent to the student at the address on file.
- If you already have traveled to Memphis or are flying in today, please email for additional instructions.
For students FLYING into Memphis:
Because students are now arriving at all hours and we do not have their new flight information, we must ask that you take a taxi to Rhodes. It will cost approximately $25. We will refund your shuttle fee. If we do get flight information and see that students are arriving at similar times, we will do our best to contact those students in the hope that they can share a taxi. Ask that the taxi take you to Williford Hall Dormitory. You may leave your luggage there with a staff member and then proceed to Burrow for registration. Your return shuttle for 6/26 will not be affected.
