What do Rhodes Biology graduates do?
54% pursue post graduate degrees. Over the last five years, Biology majors have experienced nearly a 90% acceptance rate into medical schools. Following graduation from Rhodes, students and graduates have gone to a wide variety of medical schools including Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Emory, Washington University, University of Texas, University of Tennessee - Memphis, University of Arkansas, University of Alabama - Birmingham and University of Georgia.
36% take full time jobs. Recent graduates have held such positions as Research Assistant and Research Cytotechnologist at University of Tennessee, Lab Technician at St. Jude Children′s Research Hospital, Environmental Manager of Lehman Robert Company and Physical Therapy Technician at Campbell Clinic.
Graduates have pursued many other health related postgraduate degrees in the fields of research, dentistry, physical therapy, pharmacology and nursing. Institutions attended for these fields of study include Washington University, University of South Alabama, Oklahoma State University, Miami University and William and Mary.
Other graduates attend graduate programs in fields such as Botany, Zoology, Marine Sciences and Cell Biology. Institutions attended for these fields of study include Ohio State University, University of Rhode Island, University of North Carolina, Vanderbilt, Cornell and University of Colorado.
10% take positions outside of their field of study.

Undergraduate Research Registry
The Council on Undergraduate Research has established a Registry of Undergraduate Researchers. The purpose of this registry is to facilitate matchmaking between undergraduates with research experience who wish to pursue an advanced degree and graduate schools seeking high quality students who are well prepared for research. Currently the Registry is open to students and graduate schools/employers in nearly all the fields of science that are supported at NSF.
Any undergraduate may go to www.cur.org/ugreg/ to fill out a simple registration form. There is no charge to the student.
