Dual Degree Program with Washington University:

Students in this program will attend Rhodes for 3-4 years and then Washington University for 2 years of engineering study. Upon completion of this program students will receive a bachelor′s degree from Rhodes and a second bachelor′s degree in engineering from Washington University. Required Rhodes courses for this program are the following:
  • Rhodes Foundations requirements plus an additional Washington University requirement in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • The following core math and science courses:
    • Mathematics 121, 122, 223, 251. (F6)
    • Chemistry 111, 112, 111L, 112L. (F7)
    • Physics 111, 112, 111L, 112L. (F6, F7)
    • Computer Science 141. (F6)
  • Additional courses in chemistry, geology, mathematics or physics depending on the course of study to be pursued at Washington University and the major pursued at Rhodes. These are listed in the "Planning a Degree" section of the College Catalog.
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.25 at Rhodes is required for admission to Washington University for the engineering portion of the program.

B.S.-M.S. Degree Program with the Joint Program in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center and University of Memphis:

Students in this program will attend Rhodes for 3 years majoring in chemistry or physics, and then study biomedical engineering for 2 years in the joint program in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee and University of Memphis.  Upon completion of this program students will receive a bachelor′s degree from Rhodes and a master′s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Tennessee and University of Memphis.  Required courses for this program are the following:
  • Rhodes Foundations requirements
  • The following core math and science courses at Rhodes
    • Mathematics 121, 122, 223, 251. (F6)
    • Chemistry 111, 112, 111L, 112L. (F7)
    • Physics 111, 112, 111L, 112L. (F6, F7)
    • Computer Science 141 (F6), 142
