History-International Studies Major
A total of 13-14 courses (52-56 credits) as follows:
- History 300 and two additional History courses from the following: 215, 216, 217, 224, 225, 231, 232, 233, 242, 255, 256, 261, 262, 267, 275, 276, 282, 283, 288, 294.
- International Studies 100, 200, 300
- Economics 100
- Area Requirement (Choose one area; 2 courses from each department; at least one history course must be at the 400 level)
- Europe: History 426, 428; I.S. 281, 282, 283
- Asia & Africa: History 375, 389; I.S. 243-244 or 245-246 or 261-262
- the Americas: History 342, 363, 364, 432, 436, 439; I.S. 273-274
- I.S. 475. Senior paper to be written under the direction of one faculty member from each department.
- An appropriate foreign language through completion of the second year (202).
