A total of 13-14 courses (52-56 credits) as follows:

  1. History 300 and two additional History courses from the following: 215, 216, 217, 224, 225, 231, 232, 233, 242, 255, 256, 261, 262, 267, 275, 276, 282, 283, 288, 294.
  2. International Studies 100, 200, 300
  3. Economics 100
  4. Area Requirement (Choose one area; 2 courses from each department; at least one history course must be at the 400 level)
    1. Europe: History 426, 428; I.S. 281, 282, 283
    2. Asia & Africa: History 375, 389; I.S. 243-244 or 245-246 or 261-262
    3. the Americas: History 342, 363, 364, 432, 436, 439; I.S. 273-274
  5. I.S. 475. Senior paper to be written under the direction of one faculty member from each department.
  6. An appropriate foreign language through completion of the second year (202).
