Rhodes-Hill Mural: Survey

Photo: CODA mural site

The Rhodes College Center for Outreach in the Development of the Arts (CODA) and the current owner of the building located at 195 Madison Avenue in downtown Memphis, Mr. Wilton Hill, intend to produce an original mural painting on the eastern face of the building. Located immediately adjacent to the leftfield of the Memphis Redbirds minor league baseball stadium, both walls in consideration are visible from the stands. Only the eastern facing wall is visible from Madison Avenue. Logistical support shall be provided by the UrbanArt Commission.

CODA wants to know what subjects and images YOU think would best reflect the spirit of Memphis!

  • What themes are most relevant to the city?
  • What makes Memphis a great place to live?
  • What subjects would you most like to see painted 5 storeys tall?

We want your ideas to help us start something great in Memphis!

Send your ideas to coda@rhodes.edu by September 1, 2008.
