General Information on Picking a Health Profession: Sites for career exploration and some career comparison
Explore Health Careers.Org trying to be, and succeeding for the moment, the best single web portal for finding a career. This specific page shows a list of many careers. Lots of information, links and help with careers
Occupational Information Network shows many “health” careers, some only peripherally related to your interests and many not requiring college degrees. However it is good at giving average salaries by career and by state.
Health Profession Org is another portal with information and links to many professions. It is good for links to other university and college Health Professions Advising web pages which may have comments that address your specific questions in a different way than we’ve done at Rhodes. Also included are great links to “How to Interview”, “Should I be a Doctor”, etc.
GradSchool.com for Biomedical and Health careers lists. A bit quirky and search for programs is by State.
Career Links from NAAHP. A few major non-doctor but related careers.
U.S. Dept. of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, Occupational Outlook handbook is a wonderful source for projections regarding the need for occupations and associated salaries.
Lifeworks is a great source for NIH sponsored interviews with health professionals

There is usually an association for the various professions, which provides the current news in the field and areas of interest. There is usually a link to a national association of professional schools for the profession. This will often have links to individual programs in the US. Either of these two associations will often have information for college students investigating the career.

One of their most useful resources is the forum on Interviews which provides many example questions to look at and comments from applicants who went on interviews at a specific pharmacy program

Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Human Biomechanics, Sports Health, Sports Physiology:
Look up using general sites. There are no centralized associations that will link to all methods to prepare for the same or similar career. Training for some similar careers could be found under: Kinesiology, Athletic Trainers, rehabilitators, and PhD programs to study body motion and competitive sports enhancement. Some aspects are more parallel to Medicine or Physical Therapy. Others are more related to working at or owning an exercise facility.

PostBac programs:
PostBac designed to help prepare BA or BS graduates to complete requirements for Health Profession Schools, improve record, otherwise become more competitive. Please note, that any post-bac course work may do the same thing. Some students get a Masters in an area of science instead. Consult with advisors.
