About the Campus

Have we mentioned our gorgeous campus?
We admit that we’re proud of the Rhodes campus. Located in the middle of a historic residential neighborhood, our 100-acre campus of wooded grounds and Gothic stone buildings (13 of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks) evokes the classic picture of collegiate life.
But Gothic doesn’t mean ancient.
Dorm rooms include cable and Internet access, some with WIFI. Many academic buildings and outdoor spaces also are wireless. Our science facilities have state-of-the-art technology and instruments, and there are 27 “smart” classroom facilities with network connections and computer/video/CD/DVD capabilities. Our professors use Web resources, online class materials and email communications to enhance your learning experience and increase class interaction. And we’ve just added a $42 million library and $22 million recreation center to our on-campus resources.
And the outside world is just blocks away.
Walk to the Memphis Zoo and see the pandas, or to the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. It’s only 4.5 miles to the heart of downtown Memphis where you’ll find Beale Street, the National Civil Rights Museum and FedEx Forum, home of the Memphis Grizzlies. And Rhodes is located close to major arteries so you can easily access all the major attractions and corporations in the metropolitan area.
