Visit Rhodes

Barret Library

You have to see it to believe it.

No amount of research online or poring through brochures and catalogs can tell you as much about the personality of a college and its students as a visit. And that’s what it all boils down to—finding the place where you’ll not only fit in, but thrive.

Our 100-acre wooded campus with Gothic stone buildings has been favorably compared to the Ivy League schools. Located in a historic residential neighborhood near downtown Memphis, Rhodes offers a beautiful and supportive environment for learning. We’d love to show you around and let you get a sense of the special environment that is Rhodes.

Getting to know us—getting to know you.

While it’s not required, we highly recommend that you have a personal interview with a member of our Admissions team if you’re planning to apply to Rhodes. A campus visit allows us to show you a more complete view of Rhodes, while you have an opportunity to tell us more about you. We offer a variety of options for prospective students and parents:

  • Take a student-led tour of the campus
  • Spend the night in a dorm with current students (Sunday through Thursday for high school seniors and transfer students)
  • Attend a class
  • Meet with professors
  • Schedule an information session
  • Have a personal interview with an Admissions counselor (this is highly recommended for all applicants, though not required for admission)
  • Discuss financial aid with one of our experts
  • Eat in the “Rat” or Lynx Lair
  • Tour our new Paul Barret, Jr. Library and Bryan recreational complex

And while you’re here, tour Memphis—one of the most vital urban centers in the South.

Schedule a visit online or call our Office of Admissions at 800-844-5969.
