Anne Reef joined the Rhodes College Department of English in 2013. Her research focuses on contemporary South African texts, especially on representations of nationalism, violence, and masculinity in these; she is also especially interested in representations of sport in literature. Before coming to Rhodes, she taught World Literature, Writing, and English as a Second/Foreign Language in the United States, the Czech Republic, and Spain.
