Class of 2004

Julie Alford, whose hometown is Hamilton, Montana, recieved a B.S. in Biochemistry, cum laude. Julie will be attending pharmacy school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis starting in Fall 2005.

Carl Carlson, whose hometown is Slidell, Louisiana, received a B.S. in Chemistry, magna cum laude. He also minored in Greek and Roman Studies and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Carl is currently working for Teach for America and has been assigned to Lee County High School in Marianna, Arkansas.

Sheriesse′ Cox, whose hometown is Memphis, Tennesse, recieved a B.S. in Chemistry. After a summer′s internship with GTx, The Men′s Health Biotech Company, Memphis, Shay plans to pursue a career in forensic science.

Daniel Dunnavant, whose hometown is Lebanon, Tennessee, received a B.S. in Biocemhistry. having finished his work in December 2003. Daniel is currently in medical school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

Blake Phillips, whose hometown is Jonesboro, Arkansas, recieved a B.S. in Biochemistry, having finished his work in December of 2003. Blake is currently in medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Kathryn Pigg, whose hometown is Franklin, Tennessee, received an American Chemical Society Certified B.S. in Chemistry, magna cum laude.

Jesse Ziebarth, whose hometown is Memphis, Tennessee, received an American Chemical Society Certified B.S. in Chemistry, magna cum laude. He was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Jesse is currently attending graduate school in chemistry at the University of Memphis.

Brigitte Messenger, whose hometown is Morgantown, West Virginia, received a B.S. in Chemistry, cum laude. Brigitte is currently in medical school at the West Virginia University School of Medicine.

Jack Stewart, whose hometown is Ravensdale, Washington, received an American Chemical Society Certified B.S. in Chemistry. He also earned a B.A. in Greek and Roman Studies. Jack is currently attending graduate school at the University of Washington where he plans to major in physical organic chemistry.

Crescent Rowell, whose hometown is Florence, Alabama, received a B.S. in Chemistry, cum laude. Crescent is currently a graduate student in the Dual PharmD/PhD Program at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

Dan Paull, whose hometown is Baltimore, Maryland, received an American Chemical Society Certified B.S. in Chemistry with a minor in Psychology. Dan plans to pursue a graduate degree in organic chemistry.

Sarah Rinn, whose hometown is San Antonio, Texas, received a B.S. in Biochemistry. Sarah plans on working in research or pharmaceutical sales.

Sarah Clifton received a B.S. in Biochemistry. Sarah is currently an intern at Partnership for Prevention, Washington, D.C., where she is working on health policy analysis. Sarah plans on going to medical school.

Carol Durham received a B.S. in Biochemistry with a minor in French. Carol is currently in medical school at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.

Lauren Ferrari received a B.S. in Biochemistry, cum laude. Lauren is currently attending medical school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

Rachel Garton received a B.S. in Biochemistry. Rachel plans to attend medical school.

Jamie Ladd received a B.S. in Biochemistry. Jamie is currently attending medical school at the University of Arkansas, Little Rock.

Mridula Bagrodia received a B.A. in chemistry. Mridula is currently living in New Jersey where she is a chemistry teacher in the Teach for America program.

Kalman Bencsath received a B.S. in biochemistry, cum laude and a B.A. in Philosophy. Kalman is currently attending medical school at Emory University.

Kristin Burford received a B.S. in chemistry, cum laude in the spring of 2002 when she completed her Dual Degree Program in Engineering with Washington University. Kristen has already been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

Cara Corder received a B.S. in biochemistry, cum laude. Cara is currently employed at St. Jude Children′s Research Hospital as a Research Technologist and plans to attend medical school.

Robert Hardister received a B.S. in biochemistry, cum laude. He was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Robert is currently attending medical school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis.

James Lyles received a B.S. in biochemistry. James is currently in graduate school in Plant Sciences at the City University of New York.

Patrick Farr, B.S. in Biochemistry.  Patrick subsequently obtained an M.D. from the LSU Medical School in New Orleans.

Max Finch, B.A. in Chemistry, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.    Subsequent to graduation, Max undertook medical studies at the University of  Tennessee, Memphis.

Kimberly Groat, American Chemical Society certified B.S. in Chemistry.  Kim subsequently obtained a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry at Indiana University.

Steven Hipp, B.S. in Biochemistry, cum laude.  Following graduation, Steven undertook graduate studies in Biochemistry at the California Institute of Technology.
