In the May 2007 Living Arts magazine is an article written by John Weeden, assistant director of Rhodes Center for Outreach in the Development of the Arts (CODA). The article describes ways in which CODA is cultivating arts advocacy in Memphis.

One example is art major and CODA fellow Lauren Kennedy ’08 who is working with the Center City Commission on a project to dress up bare storefronts along Main Street with artwork by local artists.

Living Arts is produced by the Memphis Arts Council and is available in Memphis at Davis-Kidd, the Central Library, local arts organizations′ box offices, and various restaurant and retail establishments throughout the city.
