Snowden Elementary School and Rhodes have been adopt-a-school partners for several years. During the spring 2007 semester, Rhodes adopted Central High School and Cypress Middle School through the Memphis City Schools Adopt-A-School Program. On March 30, Springdale Elementary School was added to that roster at a signing ceremony held at the school.

Special performances were provided by Springdale string students and members of the Grizzlies Dance Team. Rhodes and Springdale have been longtime community partners. The official adoption is “limited only by imagination.”

Rhodes and Springdale have worked together on a number of activities including tutoring, Science Saturday, and PTSA Math and Science Night. In November, Springdale was one of three schools that traveled to the U.S. Space & Rocket Center as part of a Rhodes’ NASA Stars grant.
