Germantown Banker Applies Lessons of Service Learned at Rhodes

Germantown, Tenn., bank executive Mike Palazzolo learned the importance of community service while a Rhodes student in the 1980s. Today he is applying those principles as president of the Germantown branch of Landmark Community Bank, according to an article recently published in The Daily News.

"Rhodes has always been an outstanding liberal arts college,” he says in the article. “And it is an extremely service-conscious institution." Palazzolo graduated in 1986 with a double major in history and international studies and a minor in education.

He is treasurer for the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Liberty Bowl Board of Directors, the Tennessee Municipal League and Leadership Germantown Alumni Association. He also is serving his first four-year term as Alderman in position 3.
