Volunteers Needed to Serve Up Food and Fellowship at Souper Contact
Publication Date: 12/18/2006
During the holiday season, there are many efforts to help the less fortunate. However, fellowship with the hungry and homeless is an all-year focus of Souper Contact, a student-run meal program. Rhodes volunteers share food and friendships on Tuesdays at the soup kitchen located in the basement of St. John’s United Methodist Church (1207 Peabody). The hours are 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Memphis alumni, Rhodes faculty and staff, and students remaining in town during the holidays are invited to set tables, clean up and chat with Souper Contact visitors. If available contact JoAnna Halk, Souper Contact Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
