Developing a New Off-Campus Study Program

Any off-campus program of study, work, and/or travel with student participants, if arranged by a Rhodes faculty or staff member, must receive approval.  Approval may be granted by the Dean of Faculty or by the Dean of Students depending on the type of activity proposed.  Please consult with the Buckman Center for information and the appropriate process.

Activities may include:

  • A study abroad program involving a group of students accompanied by a Rhodes faculty/staff member
  • An exchange agreement between Rhodes and another institution for direct exchanges
  • Independent research or internships conducted abroad by one or more students, arranged by a Rhodes professor
  • Service/volunteer projects arranged by or accompanied by a Rhodes faculty/staff member.
