Capital Fellows Programs
Description: This program is run by the Center for California Studies. Fellows work for 11 months, receive health benefits and a monthly stipend of $1882 and are considered employees of CSUS. They work as full-time members of a legislative, executive, or judicial branch office, and are typically given assignments with a significant amount of responsibility and challenges. Fellows also enroll as graduate students at CSUS and receive 12 graduate credits from the CSUS Government Department or Public Policy and Administration Program.

Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Junior Fellows Program
Description:
Intended for graduating seniors and students who have graduated within a year of application, the program "provides an opportunity for up to 10 students who intend careers in international affairs, to have a substantive one-year working experience in Washington, DC." Each year, the Endowment selects students with career interest and substantial coursework in international affairs, but with varied major courses of study, such as political science, history, economics, sociology or anthropology. Decisions are usually announced in mid- April. Stipend is $2166 /month.

Description: Designed to encourage a college graduate who has a commitment to the Asian Pacific American community to pursue a public policy career. The Fellowship is for nine months and provides a stipend of $15,000 and medical insurance. The Fellow will be placed either in the APAICS office or in the office of a member of Congress or congressional committee, a federal agency, or a nonprofit public policy organization. German Chancellor Scholarships
Description: Selected scholars represent the private, public, not-for-profit, cultural, and academic sectors. Successful candidates have come from social and policy sciences, government, law, journalism, communications, management, finance, economics, architecture, graphic and performing arts, humanities, public service, and environmental affairs.
