Bonner Love

With over 1200 Bonner Scholars around the country, program participants occasionally got to know each other… very well.

After a few marriage engagements between Bonner Scholars, the expression Bonner Love started circulating. At Rhodes, we have had some Bonner weddings, but Bonner Love has taken on a little different meaning.

At a particularly stressful time of the year, someone helped us along at a group meeting by shouting out, "Come on now, we need some Bonner Love to get us through." It has since become a slogan which means pulling together, giving support and deep appreciation for each other.

Amanda Janeen Abrams (′03) coined the t-shirt caption, "Bonner Love - Get You Some!" which has now become a favorite expression throughout the 25 Bonner colleges.
