Aya Kato

My name is Aya Kato. I am a chemistry major and a studio art minor here at Rhodes. I also play tennis for the varsity team. My hometown is Nagoya, Japan; it is probably the third or the fourth biggest city in Japan. When I was small, I lived in California for 4 years. This is where I was first exposed to the American culture. Then my family and I moved to Jackson, TN. Here, I graduated from middle school and high school. I decided to come to Rhodes because I wanted to go to a small liberal arts college. But more importantly, I really liked the people around here. The students and professors, who I met during my college visit, were nice.
