Rhodes will continue to participate in the Engaged Diversity project which allows five diverse institutions of higher education to collaborate and expand learning experiences for their students.
The other four institutions are Dillard University in New Orleans, La.; Huston-Tillotson University in Austin, Texas; Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga.; and Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.
Southwestern University has received a $100,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to continue the program which began four years ago. The program allows students to participate in student exchanges and yearly conferences that explore issues related to diversity.
