Arrival Information

New International Students have two time periods in which they can arrive in Memphis and be housed at Rhodes.

Pre-Term Orientation and ESL Program

This wonderful program is August 3-21, 2009.  Participants on this program should plan to arrive in Memphis on either August 1 or 2; you are permitted to move into your dorm rooms on either of these days (not before.)

The Pre-Term Orientation and ESL Program will operate Monday through Thursdays from 9:00-3:00; Monday through Friday from 9:00-12:00.  The fee for the three week program is a break-even charge of $2000/participant and includes housing on Rhodes campus, meals, instructional costs, transporation to events and all entrance fees to points of interest.

Regular International Student Orientation

All international students, whether you are participating in the Pre-Term Orientation and ESL Program or not, should attend the Regular International Student Orientation.  The dates for this program are August 19-20, 2009.  You may arrive in Memphis on Aug. 17 or 18, 2009.  You will be permitted to move into you dorm rooms no earlier than 10am on August 17, 2009.
