In the Rhodes Physics Department, the emphasis is on student research, exposing students to real-life experiences like going to professional meetings, giving presentations, doing special projects. Rhodes has funded several students to go to professional meetings. That’s unique. I can’t imagine a better undergraduate experience, especially when I compare mine to the experiences of my friends back home. They’re like, “You did that?” “You did research on something no one else has done before?”
