Sullivan Award winner Margaret Handwerker

Margaret Handwerker of the provost′s office receives the non-student Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award from Spence Wilson, chairman of the Rhodes Board of Trustees. Handwerker, who has served as administrative assistant to five academic deans and one provost for the last 25 years, received the nonstudent award. Her service extends beyond academic affairs. She has worked alongside students in Souper Contact, the student-run soup kitchen and traveled with students to Rhodes’ alternative spring break service trip at the Texas-Mexican border, building a playground for the children there.
