International Peer Advisors for International Students

Find out about studying at Rhodes from an older international student!
The International Peer Advisors team (iPA) is a volunteer team of current international students who are available to chat, skype, and meet new international students who are thinking about or are planning to attend Rhodes. The iPA team have incredible and unique perspectives on living and taking courses here, transitions to and from the United States, and other intrinsic parts of the international student experience.
Want to Be an iPA for International Students?
If you′re a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior inernational student, please consider becoming an iPA! You have the opportunity to help our newcomers. You have an international student′s perspective about Rhodes and Memphis, makng you uniquely qualified to help those students just entering their study in the U.S. from abroad. IPAs are great resources for new international students who are adjusting to their new environment.

The deadline for applying is April 13, 2009. Upon reviewing applications, the Buckman Center will assemble the team of iPAs for the summer and next school year. If selected, you can anticipate the first training session to take place on April 28th, from 6-7pm.
