Julia “Cookie” Ewing, Artistic Director of McCoy Theatre, is director of the Tony-award winning play “The History Boys” currently being performed at Circuit Playhouse. Reminiscent of “Dead Poet′s Society” and “Goodbye, Mr. Chips,” the play is described as a “refreshingly vibrant, witty, and deeply emotional drama” about the pursuits of an unruly class of teenagers in a British preparatory school.

Bill Short, Coordinator of Public Services at Rhodes, is scenic designer for the production.  Rhodes students and alumni also are among the cast and crew. The play runs through February 15 at The Circuit Playhouse located at 1705 Poplar Avenue. For tickets, please call 901-726-4656.
