Rhodes students Daniel Frankel ’09, a music and religious studies double major from Great Neck, NY, and Emily Main ’12, an undeclared major from Los Angeles, CA, finished their semester of service at Casa Maria by leading a caroling session with the agency’s children. Tyler Turner ’11 a music major from McMinnville, TN, was the accompanist.

Frankel and Main are CODA fellows who work with the children of Casa Maria regularly to supplement the scant arts instruction they receive in schools which have suffered from budget cuts. “It means the world to me to see how they respond to the music,” Frankel said.

Casa Maria del Pueblo Vecino is a Memphis agency that offers a variety of services to Hispanic women, children and families.
