Final exams at Rhodes begin this week, and for students needing a study break, faculty and staff will be pouring batter and serving pancakes in the Refectory 9 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on December 14.
The Pancake Study Break has become a Rhodes tradition and makes for a good recipe for fun and fellowship. Tables are covered with butcher paper and crayons so that students can let out frustrations through writings and drawings. In addition, games such as Monopoly, Uno, and Candy Land are played throughout the Rat while smells of butter and syrup waff through the building.
"Last year was a lot of fun, and I look forward to this year because there are few things better than relieving stress with pancakes," says Dean Galaro ’11.
