Hofto and Cafiero to Give Talk in Scotland

Laura Hofto ’10 and Chemistry Professor Mauricio Cafiero will give a talk June 21 at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. The talk is titled “Using New and Old Density Functional Theory Methods for Dispersion Interactions: Applications to the Biosynthesis of Neurotransmitters.”
Hofto is one of Rhodes’ three Goldwater winners this year. After the presentation, she will remain in Edinburgh and do summer research at Heriot Watt University for eight weeks.
