Stephanie Mingos Makes Top Five In Golf Championship

Publication Date: 5/21/2008

Rhodes′ Stephanie Mingos shot a 78 in the final round of the recent NCAA Division III Women′s Golf Championship to claim 5th place and All American honors. "Stephanie finished 5th out of 111 participants, and she was the top freshman in the tournament," said Rhodes Athletic Director and Head Women′s Golf Coach Mike Clary.

"The 2000, 2001 and 2002 Lynx teams finished 3rd, 3rd and 5th respectively, and Emily Burch was the national runner-up in 2001. Since that time our program kind of fell off the radar," according to Clary. "Stephanie′s performance in the 2008 tournament put Rhodes back on the Division III women′s golf map."

The tournament was held at the Centennial Oaks Golf Club in Waverly, Iowa.
