Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholars Lecture Tonight

Dr. Sandra Harding will present “Gender and Science: New Issues” tonight as part of the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholars series. Free an open to the public, the lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. in the McCallum Ballroom of the Bryan Campus Life Center.
Harding is professor of social sciences and comparative education at UCLA, a philosopher of science, and the author/editor of 15 books and special journals including her forthcoming book Sciences from Below: Feminisms, Postcolonialities, and Modernities.
The lecture is presented by the Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar series and cosponsored by Gender and Sexuality Studies, History, Anthropology/Sociology, and English. Rhodes is one of only 276 college and university campuses having a chapter of the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa organization, and it has had a chapter since 1949.
