ISEP Exchange and Direct

Rhodes College is a member institution in the International Student Exchange Program, ISEP.  Through ISEP, Rhodes students have access to exchange programs in over 100 institutions in 32 countries.  There are two ways in which you can study abroad through ISEP: Exchange and Direct.

ISEP Exchages

Through ISEP-Reciprocal Exchanges, students pay their home tuition, room and board, using any federal, state, and institutional aid which may apply.  For Rhodes students with a high amount of financial aid, this is an affordable alternative to other semester- and year-long programs.

ISEP Direct

With ISEP-Direct programs, students pay a program fee to ISEP which coveres tuition, room and board at the host institution.  No institutional aid is available for ISEP Direct, though applicable federal and state aid does apply for semester or year long programs.  The total cost for these programs vary, but are generally less than the cost of the ISEP Exchange.  However, when comparing costs, be sure to calculate that an ISEP Exchange permits your institutional aid to travel with you, which is NOT the case with ISEP Direct.
