Green Power Switch Incentives Work at Rhodes
Publication Date: 2/4/2008
Rhodes makes signing up for Green Power Switch program rewarding, according to a news article recently published by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).
Seventy five blocks of Green Power were purchased by Rhodes as a result of contests, drawings, and enrollment efforts coordinated by Tracy Adkisson, associate director of Physical Plant, in conjunction with Memphis Light, Gas and Water. The article also commends the leadership taken by Adkisson.
TVA and participating local public power companies, working with input from the environmental community, have created the Green Power Switch program to produce electricity from renewable sources and add it to the Tennessee Valley’s power mix.
